Okay, I have a laptop (Dell Windows XP) and I can't get into it. I start it up and before it goes to the desktop it asks for a username and password. I never set it up to be locked like that. I've tried every combination of Username/Password that I can think of but none of them work. Is there any combination of keys I can hit to by pass it? Please Help!!!

  1. Use the recovery CD or I think going in through safe mode will give you access to an administrative account where you can modify user account options (Change pass delete account etc)

  2. try a blank password

if that doesn't work then reboot and repeatedly hit the f8 key to select safemode.

you should be presented with an extra user account- administrator. Often this has no password.

once logged in go to control panel.

then select users and then select your account and enter a blank password, or one you can remember

  3. Try the username:

    Administrator

    Without a password :)

  4. all I know is  you can remove them by a cd which is named  password reset u can buy it by around 30  or 40 usd reboot from it  and go to the C: remove the user name

its very easy for me dont know if u can do it

  5. Try this:

When it comes up, just press your Enter button.
