I have a set of Lanzar Opti 1234D 1100rms 2200 max peak dual voice coils 4Ohm's and running them with a Lanzar Opti 4000D 4000 rms at 1ohm. I hooked them up like this: the neg to the pos and the other neg to the neg on the amp and the other pos to the pos on the amp, same on othe rspeaker. Now the amp has only one pos and one neg so I had to run both of the pos to the pos and both of the neg to the neg. Assuming I ran the sub in a 8 ohm load and by the way I had to hook them up to the amp now they are running at 4ohm's. at 4 ohm my amp produces 1000rms at 3 ohms 2000rms at 2 ohm 3000rms and at 1 ohm 4000 rms. If I conected it all right how high can I turn up my gain on the amp so I don't fry the sub? The shop done it for me the first time and fried the subs within 30 inutes. They hooked up the neg to the neg and plus to the plus and into the amp plus to plus and neg to neg and they popped. I got them in a sealled box, they are ponding and the amp is'nt getting hot. I got the gain just a little passed the quater marker but am scarred to turn the volume to high. radio goes to 35 max and i kep it at 18, How how can i turn the gain up?????I'm using 8 gage wire for the subs and 0 gage for the amp. can any one help? How high can I turn the gain and did i wire the subs right?????
Regards,
Sean
