  1. First of all, you just need to relax. What often happens is you get nervous and forget the most important thing of all when dealing with golf. You have to swing the club not hit the ball. When you hit the ball the tense up and the shots tend to be bad, just pretend you are making a swing without the ball and RELAX. Just go out and practice chipping and you will be fine, and as a last resort just approach the coach and speak to him about how nervous you were and you know you can do better (He/She will likely understand and cut you some slack). Good luck!

  2. One shot at a time. Don't think about putting or the next hole or the score on the card while you are driving! Focus on the shot you are making.

  3. same as me

    trust me

even though im a bball plya

i still play a little golf

so just take deep breaths, and when u get up there to the tee, focus on the wind and where u r goin to aim.

    dont worry bout the crowd

    just play your game!!!!!!!!!

  4. Just remember even though you are nervous, even if you have a bad game that is not the end of your life.  Just try and enjoy yourself.

  5. Its probably only first competition jitters...Just relax and concentrate on your game.  as to chipping drills at this late date???? just spend time chipping different distances on the green.....it gets boring I no...but it will calm you down.  Try it and see if it doesn't work for you.
