Help! I have an HD DVR With dish network how do i record what i have recorded on to my computer ?????

i have looked on dish networks site it will not work right can somebody tell be extractly how to record it to my computer

You can buy DVD Recorder for TV then burn directly to the DVDRW. Cheapest way.. Then take  Magic DVD Ripper http://www.magicdvdripper.com/ and convert the DVD to any format you want AVI, MP4, MPG2 you name it.

The other way is to use Firewire and connect that to your PC running special freeware software to pull out the file which is encrpyted. I think that's a lot of work though. All that info is online. http://www.videohelp.com  Best place to start if you want to go that avenue.
