Help I have roomate moving out issues!!!?

my roomate has know the place has been for rent since 08/01, it needs to be vacant by 10/01 he says he found a place and needs to move on the 14th, and now only wants to pay half of what he usually pays ea. month, i told him he needs to pay the amount in full of sep. rent( he never told me anthing before today and i cant cover what is left over) and that i will por-rate the days he doesnt live here and give him the back what he doesnt live here.. he also has done some damage to the floors i said i will deeduct how ever much it cost to be repaired(ofcoarse i will find the cheapest way) and he owes the utilities...was i right?... what is right? and fair. for me and him

I think your completely in the right. he is being unfair and trying to leave you with a lot to take care of. he should be great full your willing to do as much as you are to help his situation.

he only has to pay for the 14 days you can't collect anymore than that.  As for any damage take it out of his security deposit but you have to allow for normal wear and tear.
