  1. Hi.  Did a search on google for you and found this site:

    http://www.mazarron.es/servicios/autobus...

The bus company you would use is:

    Autocares Martinez (Totana)

    Teléfono: 968 421649

Their timetable (according to the site) is:

    Puerto-Mazarrón-Águilas-Almeria

    Diario

    10.30, 17.00 (paso aproximado)

    Almeria-Águilas-Mazarrón-Puerto

    Diario

    9:15, 16:15

Re the cost, I would go to the bus station in the port with this information (if you don´t speak Spanish) and just ask, "Cuanto cuesta ida (y vuelta)?" "How much is a single (return)?

Hope this is of help to you.

  2. I used to live in Puerto de Mazarron. You can get regular buses from Cartegena to Puerto and back but no buses to Mazarron town just 2 miles from the port, there are trains from Cartegena to Murcia City ,the port is about 40Min's bus ride from Cartegena and it goes over the hills between the two but is a bit hairy as the drivers are all mad,ha ha the price was about 6e so the cost is quite small.the bus station in Peurto is by the indoor market and is not staffed but all the bus lanes are clearly marked out and there is always someone waiting there to ask anyway,

The town of Puerto de mazarron has the bus station in the middle and the sea front is just 5Min's walk away.some good cafes are

    Bar Horizonte English

    Bar Le Pena Spanish

    The Royal English

and many others,it is a small town and easy to walk around.

Mazarron town 2 miles away can be accessed by Taxi from outside the Galle Verdi bar just around the corner from the bus station and most of them speak English.but be warned you wont get a taxi between 2pm and 5pm.and it will only cost about 8e each way.

Totana is some way off to the north and although you will get a bus the best way to get to the port would be via Cartegena.

God I must be thick this morning I have just re read your question, you must live in Puerto and want to go the other way,I read it as you wish to go to Peurto, eeerrr dum or what...

can you download Google earth/if you can ir has alink on it that shows all roads ,rail and bus stations on it and has a rout finder.I use it a lot and found it very interesting,It is free

  3. You'll have to go by bus... There's no direct train line in that area.

Mazarrón to Almería is about 165 kms.

You will find a bus station in MAZARRON PUERTO with a daily service to Almeria... (At least that is what the website says)

But I'm afraid I haven't been able to find details or prices for you...Sorry I couldn't do better.
