  3. jelly sandwiches? juice box.  jello (sugar free).  jambalaya.

  4. Gosh, there's not many options for J really, is there!? Here's a recipe I found:

    Juicy Finger Blocks

    3 envelopes unflavored gelatin

    3/4 cup boiling water

1 12-oz. can frozen apple, orange, grape, or other juice concentrate

Dissolve gelatin in boiling water. Add juice and stir until mixed. Pour into a lightly greased 9 x 13 inch cake pan. Chill in the refrigerator about 2 hours until firm. Cut into squares or use cookie cutters to make shapes. Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator.

Otherwise you could make cookies in J shapes or something? I don't know! I think those kids are probably going to be all Jell-O'd out by the end of that day :)

  10. Jello?

  11. How about jackfruit, if you can go to an exotic market?

Or else, make some sandwiches into the shape of the letter J.

The other thing you can do is to make fruit leather, and cut that into the letter J. Fruit leather can be made by spreading applesauce in a jellyroll pan and drying it out, on the lowest setting in your oven (usually 200 or so) for a few hours.

You could also make all-fruit jam on whatever crackers you would normally serve.

    There's always Jiffy-pop, although I wouldn't call it healthy.

You could serve jack-o-lantern shaped sandwiches.

  12. what about  juice pops?

pour juice into small cups (like Dixie cups), and then freeze them with popsicle sticks in the centers. have a variety of different juices (orange, apple, etc)

  13. Really, everyone will do a Jello variety!  I'm giving you my favorite recipe for Jicama Salad:

    Ingredients:

5 medium jicama, peeled & grated on large-hole grater

5 medium zucchini, unpeeld & grated on large-hole grater

    3 small red onion, chopped

3 T. minced cilantro or parsley (fresh)

    any vinagrette dressing

(I use fat- free red wine vinaigrette)

Place jicama & zucchini shreds into small individual paper bowls.  Scatter a little onion, then with the cilantro or parsley.

To preserve the bright colors, add the dressing just before serving.

.......mmmm  ( I got this from my favorite cookbook, Vegetarian Times!  :)

If that doesn't sound appealing, try one of these:
