I don't even know what position to play. I know all the rules and I used to be very good at school.

Any suggestions as to what position I should play? I'm 5'10" and I weigh 15st. I'm not very fit either just to help the situation.

Thanks.

  1. You could be useful in the front row or as a wing forward (flanker). Any where else and you will be clobbered as you probably cannot run too fast. In the scrum you will be required to get to the breakdown points fairly quickly but you will not be needed to sprint too often. Have a good game and drink plenty of water before, during and after the game or you will suffer from cramp later in the day.

  2. when the fijians come at you keep your elbows high..and don't listen to gareth jenkins.

  3. Good Grief!!! You;re in trouble then.  Hope you have kept fit. Good luck though.

  4. I've got a good position for you.... left right out.

Seriously you will probably be on the bench, if you get on they will most likely chuck you on the wing.

  5. i wouldnt play front row you are way too light and are likely to get mangled and also because its a specialist position, you would know if that is what you used to play, try centre, fly half or wing. centre requires the least amount of running which may be a better option for you as you say you are unfit

  6. Haha.... that's great.

    Keep it simple.

If you were a back in school - stay with the backs.

If you were a forward - stay in the pack (tight-five I'd suggest).

Play whatever's most natural. Because if you haven't played in 10 years and you're not fit, tomorrow's not the time to try a new position.

    Have fun.

  7. you made me laugh man.... good luck for tomorrow..

Try to remember old days , you might remember something or go online and watch some clips

or watch some dvd of rugby if you have ...

or atleast you can read about positions and play on-line..

you have knowledge all ready , if you read or watch some technical clips online would be helpful.

    all the best
