  1. I wouldn't feed in anything.  Take it to the animal clinic A.S.A.P!

  2. It looks like a Dove. Try to give it some wild bird seed and be sure to give it water.

  3. THat is a fledgling mourning dove.

Release it immediately.  Alot of songbirds and doves learn to fly on the ground.  Release it asap.  It doesn't matter where--just so long as it is close to the area where you found it.

Do not try to take care of it with wild bird seed and water.  It can take care of itself at this age.  The parents are also probably keeping an eye out for it.  I promise you, you can release it back into the wild and it will be just fine.

The fact that it is flapping and trying to get away shows that it is healthy, because it recognizes that you are not a friend and it knows that it needs to get back outside.  Just take it outside, in the box, and within the next hour it should fly away.  The reason it doesn't fly away as soon as you bring it outside is because it isn't sure if a predator is around.  It will want to wait for the surety that if it flys out it will be safe.

THis is also illegal; doves, save for rock doves, are protected by the Migratory Bird Treaty Act of 1918.  You could be fined up to 500$ and/or 6 months in federal prison, depending on who is responsible for your actions.

Please release it immediately.  That would be the right thing.

  4. Its a baby Mourning dove. Return it to the wild, that is a fledgling, and is learning to fly. Leave it alone after you put it in the wild... Put it on a branch or something... Good luck!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    (I raised one)

  5. Its a dove, and that's the only thing i can tell u because I'm not an expert on doves.

  6. i dont know what kind of bird that is. if it keeps flapping its wings maybe it isnt hurt. its not moving at all because its trying to hide from you and therefore it might not be flying away because its too scared. you can first put the box outside and go inside and watch from the window for a few minutes to see if it flies away. if it doesnt and you want to feed it you can buy bird seed at wal mart or target (the kind to put in bird feeders) and it should eat that.

  7. awww

That sa morning dovve fledgling. Beautiful. Its still a baby that swhy it cant fly. It is fine. Its mom was taking care of it and feeding it every couple of hrs. If the mom is not around or you see another bird around like that you need to feed it. If not the mom is there put him outside under a bush or in a tree limb
