  1. i just say call the vet first thing in the morning, if you do not get an answer on here by then.  he may be ok, just make sure you let him go to the bathroom, he may poo it out.

  2. Chocolate is like poison to a dog....make the dog throw up or poo-poo real fast...

  3. Call your vet, dogs should not have anything like  chocolate or cocoa, its toxic for them. Hopefully he didnt have much. But still have him checked.

  4. try calling the vet and see what they think you should do they could just tell you to watch to see how you're dog is acting and if you're dog acts fine it might save you time and money.i hope you're dog feels good!

  5. give him a hershey bar..he apparently loves chocolate

  6. If he seems sick call your vet after hours to see if you need to take him in. My dog has gotton into and eaten huge amounts of chocolate while we were gone and she never even got sick. But I would definantly watch for signs of toxicity.

  7. Before you panic, read the ingredient list and see if the product even has any cocoa in it. Many hot chocolate mixes don't. If it does I'd take him to an emergancy vet clinic if you have one near by or call your vet as soon as they open. At 12 pounds he's pretty small. Chocolate is suppose to be toxic to dogs, but a few years ago my daughter's German Shepard ate a full 5 pound box of chocolates that got left sitting on the coffee table and it didn't hurt him at all, but hr weighs close to 90 pounds
