Help! I lost a gold earring in the backyard!?

I know its in the lawn somewhere.Will a metal detector work? If not, how do I get it out?!

A metal detector should do the trick since it's gold, but I'm not sure how sensitive the detector is. Still, I think its better than crawling around on all fours trying to find it. It might also help if you could remember a general area where you dropped it.

I know this may sound totally off the wall but you could try devining for it.Use two metal coat hangers cut to a t shape hold loosely in the hands about 16 inches apart the hangers should cross when standing above the lost item. I have used this method and it does work for me so give it a try as you have nothing to lose.

wait till night and get a spotlight torch, aim directly at the ground, and walk up and down the lawn
