Help! I need Ideas!!?

Ok..I have a 12 year old wanting to redo her whole room. She is the oldest so she has the biggest room. She says that her walls need redone and she wants a new dresser that dosnt take up half the room. I dont feel like buying all new furniture. I can buy the paint but what should I do that would make her room how she wants it with just doing stuff at home...? any ideas??

Have her decide on what style and make her plan out exactly what she wants her room to look like.  Have her research how much it would cost to get it the way she wants.  Then sit down and talk to her about what you can afford.  She can try and earn the rest.  I agree...you shouldn't buy all new furniture.  Look into greener ways of repurposing old furniture.   Be environmentally friendly.  HGTV has lots of design ideas...they probably have something for teens (or just google it).

You can buy used furniture and then re-do them yourself.... There is a do-it yourself channel that shows you how to do room makeovers for little of nothing..I believe that it is on HGTV....check craigslist also, because there are a lot of ppl giving furniture, paint and fabric away for free.
