  1. well heaters are pretty much the same price everywhere so just go to a local pet store and check the price on it. if you don't like the price, then ask them where you can get one cheaper, or better quality. well between a 5 and a 10 gallon tank, its pretty much your choice, but for the sucker fish, you don't need one for just a betta but if you want it then ok but you need a lot of algae because betas aren't dirty as most fish. that's how they can live in a jar (wow) so just get a 5 gallon for now, and if there's no algae, don't bother putting a algae eater in there and get a 10 gallon tank. i don't have any suggestions for the fish name so hope this helps!

  2. I would recommend to get the 10 gallon tank as a bigger water volume is harder to polute and therefore easier to care for. Bettas don't like strong currents so make sure that you point the output of the filter against a rock or something. If by bottom eater/sucker fish you mean a pleco I would highly advise against this decision. Plecos produce A LOT of waste that 10 gallons of water can simply not dilute. So I'd say skip on the pleco and go with something such as a small group khuli loaches. A cheap heater can be purchased at any petstore but I would tell you to get the best heater you can afford because cheap heaters fail a lot and it will end up costing you more money in the long run. Also my petsmart sells glass 10 gallons for $8. Also if you get a female betta you can keep it with other fish:)

    Good luck!

  3. go to petsmart the cheapest is about 15$

    10GaL

    idk about the other fish

    the betta snowflake

  4. Yes you can keep a betta with a small pleco, but get the bigger tank. Plecos eat a LOT, and p**p a lot, so put a greater load on the tank than a betta ever would.

Also dont get a Common or Sailfin pleco. The baby ones are very cute, and look ideal for a small tank. But give them a few years and they will grow to a foot long.

Look for a Bristlenose or Bulldog pleco, they stay much smaller, but still need at least a 10gal tank.

  5. ok.

Theres a few things I have to say

1-sometimes Bettas will chase and bite the sucker fish (in my case he killed it)

2-cheap heater (not good idea) can be found at any regular pet store.

3-5 gallons? 10 gallons? maybe for the betta but the sucker fish needs about 20 gallons just for its self (they get BIG)

as for names,i had a sucker called Plec (there real name is something like plectagaumaus or something) and the betta you could call ivory or lacy or misty or something white...duh
