Help! I put a little too much touch-up paint on my car. If i wet sand it a little bit, will it look better? ?

I have a silver colored car. I applied 2 layers of touch-up paint on the scratch. After i put that second layer and it dried up, it looked a little darker than the original paint. If i wet sand it a little bit, will it lighten it up? Or would it lighten up when i put on a layer of clearcoat?

The little "repair" containers are rarely a good color match, spray or bottle.Metallics are even harder to match.If it is an older car you have to contend with fade also. I would sand it down and buy the next lighter color or buy a container of white and mix with the paint you already have and use an airbrush to blend and feather out the repair.
