  1. I have a son who is 17 months old.  My husband and I were pregnant right away with him.  Now that we are trying for #2, I noticed I had symptoms leading me to believe I had PCOS.  I had some bloodwork done, and it seems as though I do have it.  Just because you have the disease, it does not mean you will never have children.  I am right now in the process of working with a doctor who specializes in fertility, and I just started taking Metformin.

Take a deep breath and relax.  There is so much help out there when it comes to having a baby.  Find the right doctor for you, and he/she will point you in the right direction.

  2. Here is a easy to understand summary of PCOS:

There are many medical journal references if you want to print it and take it to your doctor.

I uploaded a 5 minute mp3 from the radio show he had for 25 years explaining PCOS:

  3. First off try to relax a little bit. Go and get the bloodwork done to see if you have it that way u can eliminate that unknown factor. If you do have it then yuo will just need to go to a fertility doctor and they will evaluate u and go from there. Try not to get to over whelemed and know that alot of women that do have PCOS DO get pregnant they just need a little help. My partner and I have been trying to get pregnant for about 5 months. I have ovarian cysts but haven been disgnosed with PCOS. My doctor said the cysts will have no effect on my chances of getting pregnant. Good luck to you.

  4. if you want a child but cant make one of your own you should try and adopt one
