Help! I want to go somewhere with a beach!?

Question

i have 2 questions:

1.i want to go to phuket with my family and i was wondering if anybody knows any good hotels or resorts on the beach? Where should i start looking? any suggestions?

2. and i dont really mind going anywhere else in the world with a beach, so does anybody know any good places with beaches?

Lots of great beaches in Australia.. Bondi, Cronulla.
