This music was played during the Women's Road Race, when NBC showed a computer generated map of the amazing Beijing race course.

Sorry their is dialog over it, but if I could find the original piece, I wouldn't have to ask, would I?

This probably won't be much help, but it sounds very much like Hans Zimmer.  I'd start your searching there by listening to a few of his scores.  I could gbe completely wrong, but it does seem to sound like him a bit.  Hope this helps!
