I have this necklace that my boyfriend gave me last month. It has a blackish, grayish, metel dolphine on it and last night I took it off before I took a shower and I dropped it and the tail came off!! I've tried gluing it with gorilla glue, crazy glue, and hot glue but none of them work!!! What can I do?!

  1. you only have one choice.  its called JB Weld or Liquid Weld.  they are available from auto stores like Advance Auto, Auto Zone, Napa.. places like that.

  2. I've had great results with something called 'J, B, Weld', a two-part epoxy that's strong enough to repair a cracked engine block. It's not expensive, and you should be able to get it at a hardware or homecenter place, or even an auto parts store (I bought mine in Illinois at a Menard's) - get the kind that's gray. You WILL need to clean any old glue off thoroughly first, and read/follow the package directions.

Good luck - hope this works well for you, too!

  3. A good gluing tip is to sprinkle a bit of bicarbonate of soda onto the super glue moments before you combine the two parts to be glued.

  4. Try replacing it with another. Metal shouldn't break like that unless it was 1. not real metal or 2. cheap. If it is real metal like silver or gold, take it to a jeweler and see if the can solder it bake together which would be the only way to repair metal jewelry anyway.

  5. Look for something that adheres to metal.  If you can't find a glue, you may need to weld it.  It's not hard to do, but it may be easier just to get a new necklace.

  6. try an adhesive called CA, i used it last semester to build a model airplane for a club and it worked really well, drys fast too.  i think you can get it any type of hobby shop.
