  1. You can carry a copy of your passport if you want!  That will work, and the parks will accept that!

  2. Any government-issued photo ID will work - it doesn't have to be a driving license. Check with the offices that issue driving licenses and passports to find out what other ID options you may have.  You don't give your nationality, but - for example - many EU countries issue ID cards that substitute for a passport when traveling between member countries, and something like that would do.

  3. are you flying ?if you are flying you will need some photo ID

and your passport works as ID and its better to keep your passport

    on you

you say you are going to various parks which parks are those?

(you might have gotten taken for a scam (ie you dont need

a pass to visit central park in new york nor griffith park in Los Angeles

or Golden gate park in San Francisco

are those parks you mean or do your  mean NATIONAIL  PAKR

    ( Grand canyon, Yellowstone?, Yosemite?)

  4. A photocopy of a passport is not ID.  All that's good for is your own personal record to have the number of your passport should you lose it.  When I've traveled out of the country I carried my passport on me, which I feel is better than being separated from it.  What if you have an emergency?

I would look for other forms of ID you can get at home other than a driver's license.  In the US states will issue state ID cards for people who don't drive.  Perhaps you can get an ID card that is more convenient to carry.

What I'm wondering is why you need an ID card for the parks?  Do you have vouchers to exchange for tickets?  If so, then you'll just need to show your ID one time to exchange the vouchers, not every time you go into the parks.  I never carry my ID into the parks, and I'm an annual pass holder.  I've quit counting visits.  If you have actual tickets for Disney, Universal, etc., you don't show your ID unless your ticket demagnetizes and has to be reissued at guest services (unlikely unless you put your pass against a credit card).

  5. Take a photocopy of your passport. Less heavy and doesn't matter if you loose it.

  6. photocopy passport will be ok for id.

Please keep passports in hotel safe.

It' a nightmare to get another one here.
