Help! Is anyone here in the UCLA College Honors Program?

I have been admitted to UCLA as a freshman and plan to go there in the fall. I qualify for the Honors Program with my ranking. I am in the top 2.482% of my class. My GPA is about a 4.4, but I do not meet the SAT/ACT requirements, meaning I only qualify through ranking.

I just want insight into how competitive it is to get into this program. How did you qualify? What did you write about in your essay? Is there any advice you could give me to increase my chances? Do most people get into the program who apply?

Good luck with your admission to the Honors Program! I am in the UCR Honors Program so I'm not sure about how UCLA works but seeing that you are an outstanding student I don't see why they would overlook your application.  In your essays, talk about what you would like to achieve in college and what your expectations are.  They are very impressed by people who know a lot about what they are talking about and have a passion for what they want to study!  Hope that helps!
