  1. Mine did that. It is NOT infected. Thats just what it does. It is it's process of healing. Mine did the same thing when i first got it done. No need to go get it checked, continue cleaning it like the person who pierced it told you, it will go away.

  2. clean it a few times a day with peroxide and then put neosporin on it.  If it doesn't get better, you have a fever or a foul odor-get to your doctor quick.

  3. Puss is coming out of your belly?  Wow, you need more than a doctor, you need a miracle.

  4. ok THAT is not gross....god people, you looked at a question about a piercing grow up!

It sounds like it's infected, did you try cleaning it with alcohol or peroxide(that comes in the brown bottle...lol)? that might help for now, but deff try to get to a doctor. you'll be fine though and so will your piercing.

VERY common thing for anyone that gets ANYTHING pierced.

    take care!

  5. That is the normal healing process.  I have my belly button done and it did the same thing.  Use bactine on it and it will help heal it.  The person who pierced it should of told you that you would get puss out of it.  Just hang in there you will be ok.

  6. its infected go to the doctor or take it out and sleep on ur back not ur stomach

  7. It Is Infected

  8. Yes its infected, as long as you keep it clean (peroxide is best) keep pouring it on and it should be fine.

  9. eew no but i think its becuz its infected so see a doctor becuz regularly thats not supposed to happen

  10. We cannot view it on here, nor see it, and i am not a doctor. but from the sound of it, yes, you have an infection, i would consult your GP immediatly.

  11. It happened to my  cousin when we went away on vacation and her piercing was still fairly new. She just kept cleaning it...and for some hours and certain days, she took out the piercing. It was fine after though...yours may be infected, but continue treating it and if you do not see improvement, see a doctor or the person that pierced it asap.

  12. One cleaning product ( for piercings obviously) is called H2ocean, i got mine at hottopic for like 15 dollars but it lasts a long time, clean your bellybutton twice a day but DONT use peroxide, it will dry out your bellybutton. i was told that by the piercer when i got mine done. you also need to be careful to not overclean it because your body could reject it, im not sure about that though but its not good to overclean it. good luck

  13. infected....go see the doctor

  14. my baby did when his umbilical cord came out early he had like nasty stuff there. i thought it was something wrong and took him to the doctors they just cleaned it with rubbing alcohol and said to clean it with that for a couple days. try rubbing alcohol to clean it out.

  15. Hi, This is totally NORMAL.  You have just had a foreign object inserted into your body, therefore your body needs to accept this not reject it, it can take up to 5 months before you see changes, this is normal by all means.  Only cleanse the area with luke warm salt water as this is the most natural healing agent.

Also put a little bit of vaseline on the entrance and exit of piercing this will  ensure movement, cleanse twice daily.

This is not infection, but a healing process.

Any other concerns pls drop me a line.

I am a Professional Body Piercer and have performed over 3,500 piercings.

Good Luck, just remember to use only salty water.

    Minny :-)

  16. DON'T USE PEROXIDE, NEOSPORIN, VASELINE, ANY HARMFUL CHEMICALS! They will make your piercing worse! I have followed these directions and all 6 of my piercings have healed beautifully

This will help heal your bellybutton

    Cleaning Your New Piercing

Before you do anything… WASH YOUR HANDS!!! You should never handle a fresh piercing with dirty hands.

Soak your piercing with some warm water to loosen any dry lymph around the jewelry, do not pick at any ‘crusties’.

Wash your piercing twice a day (morning and night) with an unscented, non-antibacterial soap. We recommend Dr. Bronners Baby Mild Castile soap.

Apply a small amount of soap to the end of a q-tip and clean the exposed part of the jewellery on each end, then rinse well with clean water to ensure there is no soap left in or around the piercing.

If you think you got your piercing dirty throughout the day (you work out or went swimming… etc) it is more than ok to clean a piercing a third time a day, just make sure you give it a good rinse afterwards.

    Sea Salt Soaks

Non-Iodized Sea Salts help promote healing while reducing irritation. Other salts (table salt, Epsom salt) can contain extra chemicals which may irritate your new piercing. We recommend Dead Sea Salts which contain extra minerals to aid your healing.

Add a 1/4 teaspoon of Sea Salt to a cup of hot water, allow it to cool so you don’t burn yourself and soak the piercing for 20-30 minutes. Use a hot compress (cotton ball or gauze pad) if you cannot fully submerge the piercing.

Sea Salt Soaks are excellent for a new and healing piercing but it is important you don’t overuse them. Only soak your piercing 2-3 times a week, unless recommended otherwise by your piercer. Overusing the soaks can dry out your skin and the piercing.

    The Don'ts

    Things to avoid:

Rubbing alcohol and Hydrogen peroxide are way too strong to be using on a fresh piercing, they will kill the new skin cells your body needs to form in order to create scar tissue and will slow down healing.

Polysporin and Neosporin are petroleum based products which your body cannot break down. They create a waterproof seal over the piercing which traps bacteria inside the piercing.

Perfumed, dyed, or cream soaps,. Scents and dyes can be quite irritating to a new piercing and can cause reactions.

Band-aids create warm, wet, dark places perfect for bacteria to thrive in. You may as well put up a big vacancy sign welcoming bacteria in!

    Make-up and Hair products

Alcoholic mouthwashes like Listerine or Scope. Just like rubbing alcohol will irritate a fresh piercing, alcoholic mouthwashes will prolong the healing time on your new oral piercing.

Non-Alcohol Based Mouthwashes contain chemicals (i.e. thymol) that affect healthy bacteria and burn (dermo-caustic) after repeated use.

Well meaning people who contradict the information given by NEXT! Piercing staff and this aftercare brochure.

Hot tubs and pools. For the first few weeks you’ll want to stay out of chlorinated water as it will irritate your piercing. If it can’t be avoided make sure to clean the piercing thoroughly afterwards.

  17. you need to go to the doctor...and thats gross

  18. Have you been disinfecting it on a regular basis? Also, don't touch it all the time. I know when people first get new piercings, they're constantly touching them. Try using Bactine with a Q-tip or with a cotton ball. It'll eventually heal up. Oh & if you do decide to put in a new belly ring, wait a long time until your belly button is fully healed up, or else you'll only injure it in the process of changing the ring. If & when you do put a new ring in, soak the new ring in alcohol for about 5 minutes to disinfect it.

  19. get a drs appointment, in the mean time boil some water, add a handful of salt, cool then bathe it care fully and dry with a sterile piece of gauze,

  20. No it's not infected if it doesn't hurt. It's actually normal to have puss come out of piercings, but just make sure you clean it onces a day with warm water. Now, if it starts to hurt, then you have an infection, and if you have an infection, you should take the piercing out, or else its going to leave a nasty scar.

  21. Hello,

    Yes,

This has happened to me and you should go to the docter and then they'll give you very good treatment

  22. Its infected.  If its not too bad clean it with Peroxide, just once, then apple alcohol, let that dry, then apply Betadine (if you are not allergic to iodine).  Iodine kills so many germs far better than anything I used in my micro class.

I use it at home too.

WARNING; ONLY USE IODINE IF YOU ARE NOT ALLERGIC TO IODINE!

If it doesn't get better in 24 hrs. see your doctor.
