Help! It's my Mum's 40th and I need some help...?

Question

Now I've got an idea - I'm going to get her 40 little things such as small perfume, books, make up, jewellery, accessories, hair and skin care, notebooks etc...

But I need to get fourty of these little things, each costing no more than 3 pounds, two pounds ideally.

I have run out of ideas, got about 28 ideas of little things...Going to town on Friday to get most of them but please just some ideas of little things to get her?

BY THE WAY, she doesn't want food, especially chocolate as she is trying to lose a bit oif weight.

Try and find out from your family what she liked as a child and get her little keepsakes, she'd appreciate that and i'm sure it wouldn't cost much!

-a pen

-sunglasses

-a music CD

-A happy birthday card

-an email

-flowers

-cheap bottle of wine

What a lovely idea.

One idea would be to buy 40 red roses - after all, 40 is supposed to be Ruby

If you want small things... a little picture frame or photo album, keyring, purse, scarf, bubble bath, cotton hankie, a copy of a book she would have read with you as a child, a nice mug (all mums love tea and coffee)...

or one i bought me mum on her 60th - a little teddy bear! She loved it which totally surprised me.

Oh another little idea... how about including some IOUs... a home cooked meal, doing the ironing, a back rub, a night out...

why don't you ask around and see if you can get a photo album and place a photo inside of her in each year of her life.

HOWEVER parents LOVE anything homemade because its with love :)

Why Dont You Just Get Like Heapsa little purfumes, like a Whole Range Kinda Thing, Like 5 or 6 Different Scents And Stuff, And Maybe Like A Little Collection Of Different Rings, Instead Of One Or Two.

Maybe Get Like, Little Funny Books That Would Make Her Laugh.

And Maybe Little Nick Nacks That Were Around When She Was A Kid So Ot Would Remind Her Of When She Was Young and Bring Back Memories, Or Ask Like Your Relatives For Some Photo's Of Her When She Was Young, Like Photo's That She Hasnt Seen For A while, That Would Hopefully Put A Smile On Her Face.
