  1. I have been to Nurnberg from northern Itaqly a couple of times. You can take the train from Venice to Munich and then catch a train from there to Nurnberg. I prefer the night train from Italy to Munich because I make the trip for a weekend rather than an extended time. From Venice, you can catch the night train at 10:51 pm and arrive in Munich at 6:30 am without having to change trains. The standard price is 105 euro for a cuchette.

Most of the day time routes will require you to change trains in Verona, but there is one train at 1:28 pm that doesn't require a change. Travel times are around 7 hours - a little faster for the through train. You can check specific schedules and prices and book tickets at: http://www.trenitalia.com/en/index.html

From Munich to Nurnberg, use the German train website: http://reiseauskunft.bahn.de/bin/query.e... Use Nürnberg Hbf as the arrival station. You can cut & paste the name from this answer if you don't have a German keyboard.

There are a couple of trains per hour. Travel time is a little more than an hour at a cost of 47 euro.
