Help!!! Leaving ! FOOD!!?

Question

Do they give you food on long flights? If so how long of flight do you have to have to order food not like nuts I mean like real food? If it helps the thing is southwest.??? Help please!!

the airlines have never served "REAL FOOD".

I am under the impression that all meals are to paid extra for these days. You can purchase something before arriving at the airport or you can usually purchase something there prior to boarding.

Southwest Airlines does not serve meals on its flights. Complimentary soft drinks and juices are served on all flights, and peanuts or other snack items are available on selected flights. If you have special dietary needs or if youre traveling on a very long flight, you may wish to pack a special snack for to enjoy.

On flights less than 600 miles, Southwest serves peanuts or pretzels. On nonstop flights between 601 and 1,270 miles, the airline offers a packaged snack appropriate to the time of day. Southwest Airlines does not serve sandwiches or meals on any flight. Standard beverage service is offered on all flights, with beer, wine and cocktails available for $4.

Well, I went on a short 3 hour plane ride last month. It was 2:30 in the afternoon, and yet they still served peanuts, cookies, and soda for free and let you have the option of whether or not to buy lunch and dinner. (Dinner at 2:30!) they had a menu and stuff, and by the time I was done eating the flight was almost done! (They also let me bring candy and a muffin.) Hope this helps!

You will get food but if you really want accurate answers, call Southwest.  They will inform you correctly.

There is flight meals aboard the flights.  They are pretty pricy tho now-a-days.  Breakfast is great tho.

if it;s an 5+ hour flight then yes they give you real food

I knew when I flew from Norfolk to Las Vegas on US Airways, they served food. But they did not GIVE us any food. They sold it to us!

I went on an overseas flight and they gave me a complete meal. It was actually really good.
