  1. first one is not an equation.

    For second and third questions, you just need to know 1 rule. What you do to one side of the equation, you have to do to the other side.

    E.g. 7+3x=5x-5

    minus 3x to both sides: 7 = 2x-5

    plue 5 to both sides: 12 = 2x => x = 6

    Apply the same concept to the third question.

  2. your missing an equals sign in the first one but for 2 and 3:

    7 + 3x = 5x-5

    7+5 = 5x-3x

    12 = 2x

    x = 6

    2.5x - 8 = 5x + 2

    2.5x-5x = 8+2

    -2.5x = 10

    x = -4

    if the first one is 5x + 7 = 3x -5 here it is:

    5x -3x = -5-7

    2x = -12

    x=-6

  3. 5x + 7 = 3x - 5 (subtract 3x from both sides)

    2x + 7 = -5 (subtract 7 from both sides)

    2x = -12 (divide both sides by 2)

    x = -6 <===ANSWER

    7 + 3x = 5x - 5 (subtract 5x from both sides)

    7 - 2x = -5 (subtract 7 from both sides)

    -2x = -12 (divide both sides by -2)

    x = 6 <===ANSWER

    2.5x - 8 = 5x + 2 (subtract 5x from both sides)

    -2.5x - 8 = 2 (add 8 to both sides)

    -2.5x = 10 (divide both sides by -2.5)

    x = -4 <===ANSWER

  4. x=6
