  1. I doubt you could get it out without a vet. You could try -- have someone hold him and try to get it out with, say, a toothpick if he will allow it.

  2. go to a vet

  3. I would take him to the vet as to cause him least distress.  Otherwise you may end up pulling his teeth out!  The vet will probably have a special piece of equipment or will be able to give him some anaesthetic so he can get it out.

  4. Maybe you didn't try hard enough.  It doesn't sound like rocket science.  Maybe you need somebody to hold him for you while you work on his mouth.  Guinea pigs don't usually bite, but still be careful working in the mouth.

Actually though, I imagine that he will get the piece of carrot out eventually by himself.  Carrots are not too hard to break up.

I can't imagine that he needs to go to the vet for this.

  5. You need to bring Bart to the vet immediately!

  6. If you've tried and failed to remove the offending piece of carrot then it is time to take your animal to the vet.  If you can't do that, have someone hold the pig and use a dental pick to try to slip the carrot from between the teeth.
