  1. They love you and want to protect you. Did you intentionally leave your age out? If you're under 18, you don't need to be in a room alone with your boyfriend. I have 3 daughters. While they live in my home, they will never be alone with a boy in their room (unless they are married to him).

  2. Some parents are like that. Be glad that they even let you date. My parents said that I couldn't date till I had turned 18. They had a bad experience with my sister. They didn't trust me enough and I suffered from my sisters stupidity. I was mad at them and at her. I know that they were just looking out for me and everything turned out okay.  I am sure that it will do the same for you.

  3. Another word for control freaks is, protective.  They are trying to protect you from being hurt.  If you are under 18 years old and living with your parents, then you have to do what they tell you.  Your parents are older and know what is best for you, really.  It seems unfair now, but it is safer for you.

  4. Wow, I'm glad that those kind of parents still exist. More power to them. It's for your own benefit, believe me.

  5. My suggestion is to be grateful that you have parents who care what you are up to.  At least they let you have a boyfriend.

  6. My parents were like this too. Just go with the flow I guess, they are trying to be good parents and when you're older you'll look back and realize that they protected you from doing a lot of stupid things that you'd regret.
