Ok can you AKC register a mix dog as a pure bred dog, is there any way for AKC to know if you are lying? If both parents can AKC papers but lets say one was a pug and the other was a jack russell and you lies when register the puppies can AKC prove you lied?

I guess my question is. Is AKC fool proof when it comes to pure bred dogs?

  1. You cant do that, they know the difference Lol

  2. why do you want papers for a mutt? trying to make money off them? a mixed breed is a mutt, no papers needed or required.  and yes when they do the "paper trail" and find that the parents are registered and what breeds they are ,,,they will know that the ones you are trying to register are not pure.

  3. No, you have to get the form to register it from the breeder and that is ONLY if both the dam and the sire are papered.

  4. There is someone always trying to cheat the system in one way or another.

No you can not register a mutt.  Most AKC registered dogs are really poor specimens of the breeds.  Too many back yard breeders & puppy mills that mix & mess with the genetics & produce very poor examples of the breeds.  Unless you have a dog that came from show breeders you have a poorly bred dog.
