Help! My Chihuahua had puppies and both have fleas?

She had the puppies a week ago and I am finding fleas on puppies. Mother has been treated and I am not sure where fleas are coming from. How can I treat both mother and puppies safely? I have been told to use Dawn dish soap but is this safe for the puppies and not harm them? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Do not use flea meds on puppies.  Check with a pet store for a shampoo that is gentle enough for puppies or a wet wipe type of cleaner.  1 week is very young, but the fleas can make them anemic quickly. Please pick them off if nothing else.drop them into a container of alcohol to kill them.

Try treating dog house first. I had same flea problem once,  have already treated my spits but later found out there were too much fleas on dog house and treat them with insecticide. Since you got puppies i suggest weaken the soulution before applying. puppies are more sensitive since they are still young.

well my dog gets fleas 4rm goin 2 a dog park. maybe thats da case. nd i have no idea how 2 get rid ov them except 4 a flea collar/da vet.
