Question:

Help! My New Jacket Faded!?

by  |  earlier

I know this might be a stupid question but I just recently bought a jacket that I only wore once. When I washed it it drastically faded. I don't want to replace it but it is so obvious that it faded I can't possibly pass it off as planned. Its colors are dark red (almost a maroon) and black, with yellow sparkle material that hasn't faded since it isn't a fabric. The only reason I'm asking is because there are a lot of people who have their own little remedies for this sort of thing that you can't discover without asking around. Please someone help me!

  1. Return it to the store.

    Get a new one.

Say it faded and u dont want it.

    Thats what ive done.

  2. Because of the different colors in the jacket, it may be very difficult to redye the material without having it run into the wrong place.  Take the coat back to the store you bought it from and tell them what happened.  They should let you exchange it.  A jacket should hold up when being laundered, or it isn't worth the money you paid for it.
