Help My Xbox 360 wot turn on!?

The power cord thing has a yellow light. But when i plug it in the xbox the xbox wont turn on. This happened after i plugged a controller in the xbox 360 it shut off then it wont turn on. This has been happening for two days now please help!

Check the USB port you plugged it in to. you probably broke the plastic tab, and shorted all the pins to the USB's case ground.

Are you sure you have not tried to plug the controller in the power socket rather than the USB? because that would be stupid =P

naww im just jokin, have you tried unplugging the controller first, switching on your Xbox and then plugging it in? if you have and it still does not work then try looking at the console RoL (ring of light on the front) if it has 3 red rings, its advisable to send your console to microsoft for repair, if just 2 red rings its advisable to move your Xbox to a cooler area or well ventilated area. If 4 red rings appeared, its advisable to plug in the Display Cord you dipshit lol. but if you want to be really amazing and get yourself all over the news id say have a nice c**p on it and send it to microsoft, maybe they'll be dumb enough to examine the excrement and not the actual console.

Tbh this baffles me so im not sure, just try whatever really, the 360 is quite random with its hardware failures.

Just a tip, next time describe it further so people can have more ideas to answer it and not just the whole catalogue of ideas on how to fix a 'not starting' Xbox 360.
