Help! My bikes breaks are getting stuck.?

Today I was riding and all of a sudden my back breaks went out and got stuck. Then the hand break got loose. The pads wont retract back. I'm not sure what to do or adjust. Can anyone help? Did I give enough info so you can understand what I'm asking? lol

The brakes use a spring to move them away from the rim. Check to see if a part of the spring has gotten loose from it's holder.

Also, the cable could have gotten caught on something through where it is routed from the lever to the caliper. I usually see this when one of the ferrules gets popped out of it's guide and sticks but doesn't fall completely out.

Bring it in to your local Bike Shop and ask them to look at it quick. They should be able to fix it in a matter of minutes if not seconds if it is a hang up. Good Luck.

you need to make sure that the brake part isn't lose because if it isn't it will pop of and do the same thing again
