I just recently graduated college, and where I work at right now, I feel like I'm too old. I've been a seasonal worker for the past four yrs at a theme park. According to my bosses, I'm one of the hardest workers there (just recently got promoted), and have a strong work ethic; I like it, and everyone likes me there; the problem is, I'm like a grandma compared to the other employees cause most are 18 and 19 yrs old outta high school. FYI: the park goes back to Fall weekend hours in about 3wks and I'm looking for another job right now and hope to have other work by this fall. So at work today I was saying to few of my coworkers about how I'm going to be the really old age of 25 and refuse to celebrate. One of them asked why I was still working where I'm at then and I said I haven't found another job yet and I really like being at the park. I then asked her if it was a crime that I still work at the park cause of my age. She said she didn't mean it that way, and she was kiddin

  1. Have fun! In about 30 years 25 will seem like very young. Time flies by, so enjoy yourself as a young person as long as you can!

  2. If you are 25 and having these feelings what are you going to be like at 40? or 50? or 60? If you can't enjoy where you are you won't enjoy life at all.

  3. I feel the same at my work, only the opposite.  I'm the youngest in the office by about 6 years and I'm the only one that's under 21 so everyone likes to make fun of my at social events because I can't drink.  I've just learned to roll with it.  I've realized that hey, everyone I'm sure wishes they were younger like me!  And in your situation, you can rub it in the 18 & 19 year olds faces that you can drink and they can't!

  4. ur not old... just remember this story wen ur 80 lol

  5. Lie about having cancer.

  6. I'm also 25, and I envy you!  I cleaned houses for a living for 2 and a half years (up until 2 months ago, quit due to pregnancy) and I wish had worked somewhere fun like a theme park instead of scrubbing lazy people's toilets!  You shouldn't be embarrassed, you should be glad you even have a job with today's economy!  Keep doing what you're doing and good luck with the new job search!

  7. The ripe, prime age of 25? Your age doesn't matter in the scheme of things. Just have fun, its your birthday.

  8. 25 is not old!

  9. Be VERY glad you have a job that you like. Doesn't matter what other people think about your age. By the way, I would love to be 25 again. No reason to lie about it! your birthday will only suck if you let it suck.

    So, have fun!

  10. A hard worker is a hard worker, does not matter what the job is.  If you are working hard, supporting yourself, and enjoy what you are doing keep at it!!  Not many people have a job that they like to do, if you are one of the lucky few then just tell everyone else to shove it if they have a problem.
