  1. Maybe it is just a nasty bit of hairball!  Put  a little bit of canola oil in her wet food this will help eliminate it.

    A puffer?  Nice one guys!

  2. I also have a cat so I know they are special to us. I also respect you for loving your cat enough to try and help them. But....you should take them to the vet. If you can't afford to take them some vets will take payments. Don't ever give your cat your meds. They are prescribed to you, not them. Good luck.

  3. Can yer kiddy breave?  den hes okay, rite?

    kbinow

  4. don't ever do that again.  call your vet immediately!

  5. I would say don't do it again and get to the vet.  Even if this medicine can be used in cats the dosage would not be right.  I would say as a general rule contact your vet.

  6. No, it is a measured dose that comes out of the inhaler, and it could make the cat ill.  If it has asthma, take it to the vet and let him/her treat the cat - not you.  Just because it's wheezing, doesn't mean it needs an inhaler.  My cats wheeze all the time for no apparent reason, and the vet I work for said some cats just do that - it could be a hairball caught, or the cat is stressed.  Just comfort the cat and get them to relax until the episode it over...but have the cat checked by a licensed vet to rule out upper respiratory infections or asthma.

  7. nah, she'll be ok.

My ktty weezes a lot becuz he likes to get stoned so the inhaler help sometimes

  8. dude you just killed your cat

  9. Not a great idea.  Cats are very sensitive to medications.  And she is much smaller than you.  What is enough for you is way too much for her.  If she's wheezing badly, she should see a vet.

  10. Ohai! Das okay, kittehs iz two stoopid two die awl da ways. She hab 8 moar livings!

  11. Is she still wheezing?  Just keep spraying it in her face until she stops.

  12. NO....NO....NO

human meds contain things that will kill cats... SUCH AS ASPRIN.

so DON'T EVER DO THAT AGAIN!

If you want to give your cat something call a vet FIRST and ask them if it is ok..

MANY ON THIS SITE DO NOT KNOW EITHER ... they will give you wrong advise... so ask someone who KNOWS... >>>>A VET!

  13. One?!  It should've been two!

    Two puffs instead of one

    Always gets the job done!

    :) :) :).

  14. My cat started breathing funny, and she ended up having lung cancer.  she was 6.  You can check her out now to see if she needs a vet.  Start by counting her breaths.  She should inhale about 30-40 times per minute.  If she's doing it more, she may need help.  She could just have a cold or have gotten into some dust.  I would stop with the inhaler, it's not likely that she has asthma, and you may cause more damage.  I'm sorry she's sick.  Good luck!

  15. Hi. I understand that you want to help your kitty get better and stop her wheezy chest, but giving your kitty your asthma medication isn't such a good idea as you could overdose her and not all human medications are good for cats.

You really do need to take your kitty to your vet to have her assessed as there could be a number of things that could be causing her to wheeze, from allergies, asthma to Upper Respiratory Infections (URI's) like Herpesvirus, Calicivirus, Chlamydia, Mycoplasma or Bordetella. Only tests will conclusively tell you what is the cause and allergies/asthma and URI's need different medications to ease the symptoms, antibiotics and vaccination for URI's and steroids - prednisone, topical therapy or change in diet to an allergy appropriate veterinary diet for allergies. I have such a cat, who is allergic to certain food products and I have to be careful what I feed her. She is now healthy and happy and her condition is controlable.

Here are some links with info on allergies and feline URI's -

All the best and hope you find out what's causing your kitty to wheeze!

  16. I just really wonder sometimes if questions are just for kicks are if people are really that ignorant.

    Wow.

  17. Are you insane?  Call the vet, now.  DO NOT SPRAY IT AGAIN, that is not for animals!  Use common sense here.  Your cat has a cold/infection, not asthma.

  18. YOu are a friggin MORON!

  19. Is instill wheezing.....

  20. Give her a hug.
