My cousin was trying to download a few new songs onto her mp3 player from my computer, which she has done several times without incident. This time, however, something went very wrong and her player keeps showing a message that says there is not enough room for a music download & to please clear at least 8 mb of space to allow a download. At the same time, it shows a message that there are currently no files on the player. All attempts to either clear out the player or to add songs to it are fruitless. When plugged into the computer, after a few moments' time, a message appears reading "USB Writing Data..." and the letters MTP. What the heck is going on, and what can we do to restore her player? Thanks in advance for any help you can offer.
