When I bought my Acer Ferrari 3000 laptop computer, it had a Windows XP Home Edition. It had volume control, audio device, and was able to stand by after clicking on "Turn Off Computer". After I installed the Windows XP Professional Edition, it lost its volume control and audio device and can't stand by after clicking on "Turn Off Computer". I've been using other people's advice but they say the same thing and it doesn't work on my computer. I click on "Control Panel", then "Sounds, Speech, and Audio Devices", and then "Sounds and Audio Devices" and it says "No Audio Device" in the Volume bar. Also, in the Hardware bar, when I click on "Audio Codecs", "Legacy Audio Drivers", "Media Control Devices", "Legacy Video Capture Devices", and "Video Codecs", it says "This device is working properly." I even updated my drivers and it still doesn't do anything. I'm wondering if anyone can help me with this problem. Also, can anyone help me make my computer stand by?
