Hi all,

Just would like some advice here, I have an 8 month old daughter who slept BEAUTIFULLY 2 nights ago, all through the night, now she cant be settled easily to go down at night and keeps waking up with the exception of going back to sleep easily enough. I have tried teething gel that helped as she was cutting her first tooth a week or two ago and have gotten her used to settling on a pacifier instead of her thumb (im told it's better) but nothing is working in my favour. Any ideas or advice?? Thanks in advance!

  1. There maybe a number of reasons for this occurrence. I feel it could be an ear infection, common at this age group and would definitely fit the picture or an illness of some kind.

Separation anxiety could be also to blame, as baby is at the peak age for this. I would definitely seek a Dr s advice and check her out for illness. Too many people have blamed teething for everything, teething does not cause fever or illness. Hope she settles soon for you.

  2. If she's teething, this may very well be the reason she's restless, but if you're concerned, call her pediatrician and ask how much Tylenol you should give her to comfort her in that situation.
