Question:

Help? My mom has water in her retina?

Hello,

My mom is 39 and she's had water in her (inside) her retina for about 5 years now.

She went to the doctor several times and they keep telling her that it's supposed to "evaporate" within a year (they told her that 4 years ago) but nothing has happened.

What can she do?

She can barely see through the eye that has water.

Oh and by the way, it all started when she was about to cry one day and the tear drop went inside her retina, I believe.

Please help me and thank you so much for the answers.

  1. Does she have a retinal vein occlusion?? Retinal Detachment??  Wet Macular Degeneration??  It would help to know the diagnosis

  2. water in the retina=retinopathia angiospastica, the water comes under the retina by poor profusion of the retina, and can cause a detached retina, and thereby disturbing the sight-not a good thing, she should get another opinion.
