Help! My son put a credit card in our Playstation 3!?

Question

I saw a little corner sticking out and I went to grab it and it sucked it in (the place where you put the games in). So now it's inside the playstation and it doesn't come out when you press the eject button (like the last time he did it! I thought I threw them all out). Does anyone know of any way of getting it out without ruining the system?

u gotta open the plastic cover were the brushlike thing is that closes when the cd goes in or comes out. or just poke a ruler just to lift the inside "flap" and use a torch to see the card and use twezzers to pull it out if u can see it.

Chances are it's already ruined. Try to disassemble it to see if you can get it out. If you disassemble it right and it hasn't been ruined yet, chances are it just might work again when you put it back together. If you can't find out how to get it apart, I'd recommend searching Google for a tutorial on it. You'll probably find one. Good luck.

get very thin tweezers and try to grab it. chances of it still working at stores in this situation 20% i say sell the ps3 or throw it out and buy a new ps3 and put a lock on it to accees it and obtain a new credit card and keep it always near you.

by the title, i thought that your son used the credit card to buy games and add ons online on the playstation store lol, I wasn't thinking of the litteral meaning of the title...

cute kid?? wtf is wrong with you people.. how do u call a kid cute for putting a credit card on a $500+ system that might not even work afterwards???

anyways unscrew the system make sure u map out what ur unscrewing and where everything goes just unscrew the cd case and take it out and s***w everything back up... dont forget to punish/hit ur kid afterwards   that way he'll learn not to do it again

this envovles alittle dimantling but nothing that will hurt the ps3

just unscrew the screws at the top of it becarefull not to touch anything other than the ps3 disk sliding thing and the credit card, and plastic thts not conncted to anything

haha cute kid! try going to this site http://techrepublic.com.com/2346-10877_1...  basically all you need to do is open the ps3's cover just unscrew the screws and it should open then get your credit card!! also keep an eye on your son as this is not the first time!

contact the playstation assistance number and explain the situation to them. they might be able to help you. if not try going to a local electronic store and see if they can help you take it out. best of luck!

first unplug the system

2. use a pair of twessers and try to pull the card out by its corner

3 im that does not work take it to a paerson that knows how to take apart and rebuild the system
