Help NJ unemployment?

i work on a college campus as a clerk for a book store for two/three years.....and we all ( college students) text on phone and walk around when there is nothing to do... my boss hired me two years ago as seasonal but i never was I never stopped one time "seasonally". He pin pointed me out today and told me " don't be surprised if you have no hours of work next week..... i said to him i have bills to pay if your going to fire me just fire me.... he said " oh thats up to you?" What the h**l!? He doesn't want to fire me so i can't collect unemployment~! I am a biology student and it's half way through the semster... there is no way i can get another job now~! No one will hire me for 3 hours a day~! I am always in the lab doing labs...... But i still need an income.... is there a way i can collect unemployment until i can find a job that would fit my scedual?n

  1. well I don't know if I can help but  email me younice77@hotmail.com. I feel bad when a hard working who do want to work have no money .I know few collage students it gets hard without money and i will not want any good person to do what they were not suppose to do in the first place. lets try if it work for you I mean we can atleast try .I don't even have to see you, you try doing on line. you might love it.


  2. If they stop giving you hours, that is the same as laying you off and you would be eligle for unemployment.  Being seasonal or not makes no difference.  If you are only working 3 hours a day,  don't expect a very bigunemployment check.

    HOWEVER, to collect unem-ployment you have to be available for work.  If you are full time student:  no unemployment.
