I've got bored of having straight hair and want it to be more tousled looking, it's quite thick so i'm getting it thinned out (when I plait it overnight it just goes all boffy) so how can I get a tousled look like marykate Olsens?

My hair sits just above my shoulders and has lots of layers.

Also..

I have arched eyebrows and big blue eyes but I hate my nose and small mouth

1) How can I make my nose appear thinner/smaller?

2) How do you define cheekbones?

3) How do you get plumper/pouty lips?

  1. For the hair, try putting gel in it while it's wet, scrunching it up and using clips to pin scrunched sections to your head. Leave the clips in while you blowdry, or allow hair to air dry.

The makeup concepts you're talking about are all related to what's called contouring. In contouring, you take a color (of powder of concealer) slightly lighter than your skin and put it where you want to draw attention and make things look bigger. You take a color slightly darker than your skin and put it where you want to make things appear smaller and less noticeable. Blend well.

    1. Lighter down the middle of the nose, darker on the outsides.

    2. Darker along the bottom of the cheekbones, lighter along the top, under the eyes.

    3. Lighter lipstick, with a highlight (of white lip pencil, or just shiny gloss) in the center of the bottom lip.

    Hope that helps! :)

  2. once you have washed your hair, blow dry it then tie it in three buns- one either side of your head and one at the back. then do make up or whatever for a bit and take the buns out, and use straighteners to curl the ends more, then use hairspray.

    1) use foundation- having one colour all over the nose (as well as the face obvs!) will make it 'blend' more, without the natural shading and shine of your skin.

    2) after foundation, suck in your cheeks then get a bit of blusher on a brush, blow on it, and gently apply to the hollow parts. use a bit of oil based moisturiser on your actual cheekbones at the top to make them stand out more.

    3) same with the nose- gently tapping a bit of foundation onto the lips then applying a bit of lip balm or vaseline whatever, will make your lips blend in- makes your skin look clearer as well. and the lip balm will make them look pretty and shiny rather than zombie ish.
