I was trimming my kittens claws and made a little nip in her paw pad. Its very small and she doesnt seem to notice. Should I worry about her stepping in litter? How should I treat it?

  1. just check it frequently and make sure it doesnt get infected! other than that, she should be ok

  2. Yeah, just keep an eye on it and try to keep it clean. If you notice it appears at all swollen or red, or that your cat seems hesitant to put weight on that paw, then consider taking it to the vet. But my cat burned the bottom of one paw and it healed up okay on its own with me just keeping an eye on it and cleaning it once.

  3. Haha I thought u meant cat nip!!

but you aren't supposed to clip your pets nails because they have a blood vessel that is invisible to us but if it us clipped it severly injures the animal. Get it done professionally please!!

  4. I would just make sure to wipe it with a wet washcloth kind of often, especially after she's been in the litter box. Make sure you wipe it gently so it doesn't stay open. It will heal on its own pretty fast. Don't put any medicine on it.
