Help! Own a Canon Powershot SD600? My cam's screen is broken, step me through lowering the resolution, blindly

My friend gave me her broken-screen Canon Powershot SD600.

The resolution is at the max setting, but that is too high for my purposes.

I need the resolution set to 640x480, (the smallest setting) but can not see the screen, so I have to push the buttons blindly. Anyone out there, pleease, step me through this so I can use the camera? Thanks!

  1. This is dependent on the shooting mode that the camera is currently in, but should work from most modes.

    From powered-off state:

    1. press power on button

    2. make sure mode switch in shooting mode

    3. press func/set

    4. press down 6 times

    5. press right 3 times

    6. press func/set
