  1. Nope.

    Sorry.

    I had two Zebra Finches.

Albert and his daughter Mazy. My brother put their cage in a tree and the cage--fell. Albert and Mazy flew out. We tried to catch them for hours, but didn't. We watched albert and he always went to the bird feeders for food.

We set up a trap for them.

The next day I woke up to: "Daddy caught Albert!!" so I went to see him, and sure enough-- It was Albert.

Mazy never came back. The last time I saw her, she was in a pine tree flying towards the back neighbors (who I didn't know.).

But that was meant to be.

We got albert a mate, and now him and his mate--Mai-- have two chicks named Zoe and Jack.

Hope I Could've helped. I'll pray that your parakeet will return.

  2. Tie millet to her cage and set it outside. Be sure to add a lot of tempting bird treats so if she is still in the area, her attention will be drawn to the cage.

Beware, this causes other types of birds to frequent the area, though.

My parakeets flew away on  June 25, 2004 because I left them in the care of a friend who set them outside. My friend did not take into account that it was too windy to set them outside. The wind knocked over their cage and one of the doors popped open. The rest is history.

I was devastated, I talked to them and they would talk to me.

I hope everything works out for you in the end.

Chances are high that you will get her back if she is hand tamed.

  3. The chances are very slim that your parakeet will return.  Most birds that fly away never come back.  Sorry to tell you that.

  4. i am sorry to say, but probably not. someone probably found her. you should put up signs around your house or ask neibors if they have seen her around. i hope you find her good luck.

  5. Nope, unfortunately. It's a shame, but it'll never come back now, not after two days!

  6. probobly not but you can buy another that is awsome

    name her kristen

  7. Sorry! Homing abilities in a Parakeet that's been indoors all it's life is next to impossible! Look @ it this way , If you were that little cage bird that got out of it's known indoor celing coverd environment  and found nothing but wind & open blue sky wouldn't you just go >>>>>>>ZOOOOM>>>>>>bye-bye!

  8. if she was in with another  bird , put the bird were other parakeet can see it, most likely the bird will fly to it.

                    hope this works

  9. put the cage outside in the open with fresh food and water

it might not come back but it also might

remember parakeets dont usually live long in the wild if they were brought up in captivity because they dont know how to find food so if you put food outside it will finda free snag and go for it
