Help!! Phone Cord!?

Ok this seems like a really silly question but i must be doing something wrong.. my phone cord on my work phone which i use alot keeps twisting and its sooo annoying especially when i try and pik up the phone and i cant as it wont stretch! is it the way i pik it up or something lol anyone else in same boat? Lou x x

  1. You have two options for dealing with this common problem.

    1) Go to a place like Walmart or Radio Shack and buy a swivel adapter.  One end of the handset cord plugs into the adapter, the other end plugs into the telephone base.  The swivel action of the adapter helps prevent the cord from getting twisted or tangled.

    2) Untwist the cord manually.  Take the receiver (handset) off its cradle and let it hang freely down toward the floor (but not touching the floor).  Unplug the other end of the handset cord (that plugs into the phone base), hold it up high, and let it unwind naturally until the handset stops turning.  The cord will now be untangled.  Plug the cord back into the base and you're all set!  Do this regularly to keep the cord from getting all tangled/twisted.
