I am helping plan a party for in November its for a girl who is turning 14 years old and she may invite some of her friends most her family will be there which will be adults and alot of kids from ages 3 to 12 I was wondering if you could help me out. We are obiously having it indoors because of the weather we want it to be like a beach getaway Hawiian style. I have been on oriental trading and sites like that and have some ideas. We will most likley have it in a large building so I will have alot of room to have to decorate. How can I keep the party cool for her age but also games and activitys that can be done by everyone attending.

Ideas so far are gave tons of beach balls to play with, hula hoop contest, limbo, frezze dance, musical beach towls. Also decorate with streamers and balloons in bright colors. Aloha signs, twinkle lights, give each guest a lei and have hawiian punch, smoothies, fruit kabobs, chips and dip, pizza and cake.

Any more ideas?

  1. Well, since it's themed everyone should have to dress in Luau attire. Have photo props available (tiki hut, totem poll, surf board, etc.) for people to take fun pictures with. Have a fruit smoothie station set up and serve them with little umbrella picks. Set up torches.

    Here's a link to a website that's all about Luau Party's:

  3. u should have the pineapples on the pizza and the cake with Tropical Fruits in it, and some smoothies or tropical drinks like in Hawaii....

  4. Sounds like you are super organized already. We went to one recently that also had a Tiki tatoo hut.. with non-permanent tatoos.. I think they planned it for the younger kids but everyone was putting them on. Also there is an article about a luau party here : http://www.celebrationideasonline.com/lu...

with a fun idea for a huge hawaiian theme cut out where they were taking pictures of the guests. Also thought the light-up leis were a cute idea too.. Good luck
