Do you know a good day and night cream for a 25 year old with fine lines and some discoloration?

Also should I use a different cream for the wrinkles and dark circles that I have around my eyes.

thanks

  1. try anything from loreal or clinique, they are both really good at skincare.

i used an eye cream from loreal (i cant remember its name)

but it works GREAT and was only about 10 dollars at the drugstore.

    good luck!

  2. Philosophy Hope In a Jar.

  3. I found Nivea Q10 softened the lines under my eyes.  A good concealer from Clinique will cover the shadows around your eyes.  The very best product for defying age is good old Vaseline petroleum jelly.  It is amazing and works right away.

  4. Avon has wonderful beauty products. They've come a long way and it doesn't cost an arm or a leg. I just began using their beauty products, mainly because I'm a new rep, but I felt I couldn't sell the product if I didn't believe in it, so I'm now using it. I'm happy with it so far. I'm 43 and I've seen improvement. Check out Avon's line of ANEW products. If you don't have a representative, I'd be happy to help you. You can go to my on-line website, see below, and order directly from there - even have it shipped right to you now for free!

That said, Mary Kay has wonderful beauty products also, but you'll find that they are as expensive as going to Dillards, Macy's, etc.

Also, comparable in price to Avon, but I have to say less effective - in my own experience - is Oil of Olay's Definity line. It's good, but the results I've gotten with ANEW are far better and quicker.

  5. There are three things that work really well for controlling and preventing wrinkles.

One is retinol.  You can find it in many skin creams, but here's the catch.  It never tells you how MUCH retinol is in there.  My dermatologist says, if they don't tell you, it's because there's not really enough in there to do much good.

Look on-line for skinceuticals retinol.  Start with .25% (or maybe 0.5%) and use it every 3 days.  If you get a lot of redness & peeling, cut back.  If you are tolerating it pretty well, gradually work up to daily use.  Then gradually switch up to the 0.5%, and eventually the 1.0%.

It's kind of expensive, that's the downside.  But you only have to use a little.

The other thing to use is a cream with alpha hydroxy acid in it.  Same rule applies -- if they don't tell you the percentage, it's because there's not much in there.  You need at least 8% to be effective, and 10% is better.

Look online for "Alpha Hydrox."  You can find it in some stores, but not always.   The good news -- this one is relatively cheap.

The third thing is sunscreen.  Wear it anytime you are in the sun, not just at the beach.  Sun is the biggest culprit in aging, second only to smoking.

If you start now, at your age, you will look great at 40!  Many of us don't start taking care of our skin until it's too late.

  6. Olay night cream is great, I use it to take of my makeup and to prevent aging signs around my eyes, neck, and smile lines. Dark circles are most commonly from not getting enough sleep. Be sure you're getting eight to nine hours of sleep each night.
