Ok! so I graduate from undergrad in December, but my overall GPA is like a 2.6(yeah I know its low) but in the beginning of my schooling I was foolin' around. Once I matured up my grades came up. I remember talking to someone and they said that graduate schools really only calculate your upper level 3000-4000 classes.

If thats the case then I really have no worries because if I calculated correctly I have a 3.0 which would allow me to enter into the FIU Masters of Public Administration with no problem.

Some one please help, just a little worried that I wont get in if they calculate the *** GPA. This particular program does not require the GMAT.

  1. Your best bet in your situation is to take the time to go meet with the professors and advisors in the program and get them on your side. Having a 3.0 within your major is good, but they are still going to see that 2.6 overall. If they have had a chance to meet you and know that you take your graduate education seriously, things can swing in your favor.
