Help Please!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!?

Question

i just brought home my baby crimson bellied conure after a 45 minute drive from hixon to prince george. i have a nice cage set up for him. he is extremely nippy. he will climb on my hand and let me scratch his head but will nip and twist my skin with his beak. is he just scared? or going through a phase? what are some things i can do to help prevent this from turning into a behavorial problem? thank u
