  1. I went to a specialist not just a dentist and I was put to sleep for it. I mean if my dentist would not do it and sent me to someone more qualified, he should do the same for you.

  2. Is this "doc" you're seeing an oral surgeon?  My dentist, who has long been regarded as one of the best in the state of Michigan, referred me to an oral surgeon he knew.  Even though he was confident of his dental skills he still thought it better to send me to a specialist.

You should be able to check out any dentist, orthodontist, or oral surgeon on the American Dental Association website (Google it).  I can tell you that my experience was good -- hurt like heck for a couple of days, but he got my wisdom teeth out and I had no problem with dry sockets (make sure you follow the post-op instructions though).

  3. Dont  be a sissy.

    Your gonna be ok.

Its really not all that bad,  my doc did a terrible job but i came out ok.

  4. i had all 4 of my wisdom teeth pulled at once... and my bottom two had to be broken into 2 pieces..... so in reality.... it was like having 6 teeth pulled.... and all he used on me was novacaine... I didn't know the doc...... and I'm still alive...

  5. go get a second opinion.

  6. I had general anesthesia when I had my 4 wisdom teeth out and the only problem I had was an allergic reaction to the anesthesia, but that is normal for me.  I had mine done by a dentist who I didn't know...had only lived in the city for 6 months.

You should be back to normal eating with in 2 weeks, but that depends on how you take care of the locations.

Just relax and don't worry about it.

  7. It takes around 3 weeks to heal.Never take chances when it comes to removing teeth.Because if the bleeding is not controlled it can kill you in less than a couple of hours.
